Valentines Celebration

On Valentines Day, Ryan and I gave each boy a new Webkinz. They were so excited to get more of those addictive little animals. I need to invent something like Webkinz that all the kids think they need to have and not just one will do. They give you special prizes for having 10 or more of them. Smart Marketing to us parents who are suckers. Anyways, we had a good Valentines. The boys all had parties at school and that night for dinner we had pasta with vodka sauce. Vodka sauce is a yummy sauce I have discovered since moving to NC. If you haven't had it, it tastes a lot like a tomato basil sauce. After having it many times at different restaurants and all of us thinking it was yummy I decided to try making it myself. Well, it did not turn out good at all. There are lots of different versions of the recipe so maybe I will give another one a try or we'll just get take out from now on.

In January we had a snow day. We got a phone call in the middle of the night saying school was closed. If it snows at all they cancel school . I think it is great. if we only get one day of snow then they should cancel school so the kids can stay home and play in it. We started the morning with pancakes. Then we headed out to play in the snow. Our house is on a hill so a few of the neighbor kids came over with their sleds. The snow was very slushy but the boys had a blast playing in it. By the time we went inside the boys were soaked. I built a fire in the fireplace and made hot chocolate. The boys spent the rest of the day in their warm PJ's.

Catching up

I haven't blogged in a while and of course I have a ton of excuses but they don't really matter. I just can't believe how fast the months are going by. I am going to try and get my blog updated little by little so sorry there are pictures from January. I mostly post pictures for our family back in Utah. I love this picture of the boys. They all climbed into Hayden's bed to go to sleep. Colin loves to think he is a big as his older brothers. They are all cute brothers.
