Why Didn't I Think of it Sooner?

For Christmas I got a gift certificate for Target from my Sis in-law Ali. Thanks Al. There is so much to buy in Target I didn't know what to spend it on. I knew I wanted it to be something I wouldn't normally buy for myself. Then I decided that I wanted a dust buster. The bottom floor of my house is all wood except for my bedroom. I get all kinds of dust bunnies from the rugs and the kids are constantly tracking or dropping something on the floor. I have a central vac that I do love but, I get tired of hauling the whole thing out just for a few crumbs. So the other night I went to Target and got one. I LOVE THAT THING!!! Not only can I quickly clean up any mess but, the kids are begging to use it. I got wondering why didn't I think of this sooner? I have four kids. I have been cleaning up crummy messes for about nine years. I should have thought about this before now. What else haven't I discovered yet that is a time saving gadget? So, if you don't have one, go get one. It has really saved me time. If you do have one, why didn't you tell me? If you know of anything else like this that I might be missing out on please, let me know.

Colin's B-day

Colin's 2nd Birthday was yesterday. It really snuck up on me so, yesterday we went out while the other boys were at school and found a cake and some decorations. Most importantly we got balloons. I did think to get his presents before Christmas.

He was so excited to wear this hat during the day but that night I had to take 20 pictures to get one with it on him.


I like to take a picture of my kids with their cake on their B-day. I couldn't get one with him smiling because he kept sticking his finger in the frosting then licking it off. He just could not resist.

When it was time to eat his cake he thought it was so yummy.

Colin is such a sweet boy. I'm so glad he came to our family two years ago. He is talking so well and he knows when he makes a mess that all he has to say is, "lobe you mommy." and I can't get mad at him. Then to top it off he will say "Sorry," and give me a kiss. Because he is the youngest I know I will always baby him a little and he is going to take advantage of that.
