Hayden is Eight

We were able to go to Utah to baptize Hayden in June. I made a DVD of Hayden growing up to show between his baptism and confirmation. Here are just the highlights of his life. We are so proud of him for making the choice to get baptized.

Big Band Aid

So I have to post something that is so funny to me and just shows what my life is like being surrounded by boys. Colin keeps getting into my bottom drawer and getting out pads. I don't know why I still have them, they are from when I had Colin. Each one of my boys has asked me why I have such big Band Aids. I have thought how do I explain this to them. I don't want them to know the dirty truth yet. Then I got thinking about it and they are big Band Aids. So that is what I told them. They haven't asked yet what I would need such a big Band Aid for. Hopefully, if I throw them all away, they won't ever ask.

Noah's Soccer Season

Out of all our boys, Noah's is definitely our most natural athlete. He was born with muscles. To look at them just amazes me that at five they are so defined. This year of soccer was a lot of fun for him. You can just see the drive in his face. It has been hard for him to sit in his seat and watch his brothers play. He is finally old enough to really get to play and he enjoys every minute of it.

I was going to put Hayden's and Noah's pictures together. Then I noticed in all of Hayden's pictures of kicking the ball that he has his tongue sticking out. So I will give him his own entry. I guess that gives him the power kick. His coaches always put him in the back to protect the goal because he can kick the ball to the other end. Click on the pictures and you can see that tongue better. He is my funny boy.

And the Oscar Goes To...

I know, I know I'm a horrible blogger. This is from May. Hunter played Warbucks in the musical Annie. The art school that he goes to has two different Show Choirs and they cast Hunter as Warbucks in both. He had double the work to do. He had to go to show choir twice a week and had double the dress rehearsal to attend. He did great. He got all his lines memorized and did a great job singing (he didn't miss a note.) By the end he needed a break. Thank goodness it was summer.
